Gemini Dance Company is a non-profit organization founded in 2002. Our mission is to provide a well rounded professional dance curriculum to our students which cultivates personal artistic and growth & creativity. Gemini Dance Company includes young dancers ages 10 to adults and works closely with Studio B Rockers dance company. We have levels of Gemini: Purple, Red & Black. Members of this company are given numerous performance and educational opportunities, superior dance instruction and direct involvement with our community outreach program.

As a community based, community focused program, Gemini Dance Company supports several individual causes. First we offer a generous dance scholarship program to ensure that any child who wants to explore their artistic creativity is given an opportunity to do so. We also participate in many Non-Profit events around the Midcoast area including: Arts Downtown & All Around, Family Arts Festival, Bath Heritage Days & the Chocolate Church Jubilee. We provide an educational outreach program in a variety of venues including schools and nursing homes. We also participate in various shows and dance festivals in the area including parades, the Yarmouth Clam festival, the Harpswell Festival and more. The dancers participate in fundraising money in order to expand their educational horizons in the field of dance, which in turn benefits those in the community who participate in our outreach programs.

Additionally, Gemini Dance Company promotes lifelong positive qualities & skills in our dancers which guide and shape their lives as they mature and grow. A strong focus is on the dancers being active and positive members of the Midcoast community by promoting service through educational and performance outreach programs. We promote teamwork & leadership by engaging company participants in all aspects of show production. As students move through our program they are given opportunities to choreograph their own work and to volunteer as student assistants. Character building & tolerance is occurs as a result of the wide range of performance opportunities & diverse cultural experiences.
